Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – On-Call
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Location: Lubbock, TX
Schedule: Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
Company: Gentiva Hospice

Responsibilities:
>Provide direct hospice patient care and support after normal business hours.
>Respond to urgent calls, visits, and symptom management needs with compassion.
>Act as the primary liaison between patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team.
>Evaluate needs and implement the patient’s plan of care.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (LPNs, CNAs, support staff).
>Ensure accurate documentation and coordinate continuity of care with the daytime team.

Required Qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of practice.
1+ years of nursing experience.
CPR certification.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and dependable in urgent situations.
Preferred Experience:

Hospice, home health, oncology, or palliative care experience.
Familiarity with symptom management, triage, and after-hours care.
Prior on-call or overnight nursing experience.
EMR/documentation skills.
